Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the PollPulse browser extension, creating an account, visiting pollpulse.ca, or using any PollPulse service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PollPulse. By continuing to use our service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

PollPulse is a browser extension and web platform that enables users to create opinion polls attached to web pages, vote on polls created by others, earn experience points (XP) and virtual rewards, and — for approved Creators — publish custom surveys to the PollPulse user base.

The Service is provided "as-is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use most PollPulse features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. PollPulse is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Usernames must be 3–24 characters and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits is prohibited.
• You may not share your account with others.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post or distribute illegal, hateful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or pornographic content.
• Create polls designed to deceive, mislead, or manipulate other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to artificially inflate votes, XP, or rewards.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim any affiliation.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its servers.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

5. Creator Program

The Creator Program is available to approved users who have submitted and passed a creator application review. As a Creator, you may publish custom polls and surveys to the PollPulse user base.

Creator Responsibilities: You are solely responsible for the content of any polls you publish. Polls must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms. PollPulse reserves the right to review, modify for clarity, delay, or reject any poll that violates our standards, without refund unless we are unable to publish your poll at all.

Creator Referral Program: Creators may choose between a Credit Option (30% of referred users' earnings as poll credits after referrals reach Level 10) or a Cash Option (10% as withdrawable cash). Your referral choice is locked until a support request is submitted. Referral earnings are calculated and credited at PollPulse's discretion based on verified activity.

PollPulse reserves the right to revoke Creator status at any time for violations of these Terms.

6. Payments & Refunds

All Creator poll purchases are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. PollPulse does not store your payment card information.

No-Refund Policy: Due to the nature of our service — polls are submitted for review and become available to PollPulse users immediately upon confirmation — all purchases are final and non-refundable.

However, PollPulse may at its sole discretion provide in-store Creator Credits in special circumstances, such as: technical failure preventing poll publication, or duplicate orders. Refund credit requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of purchase via support. Credits do not expire and may be applied toward future poll orders.

Pricing is subject to change. Any price changes will not affect purchases already completed.

7. Response Delivery

PollPulse makes reasonable efforts to deliver poll responses within a reasonable timeframe based on platform activity and user engagement. However, response delivery times depend on variables outside our direct control, including platform user activity, the nature and appeal of questions, and overall platform traffic at any given time.

Important: PollPulse is not responsible for polls taking longer than expected to receive answers. Creators should take this into account when planning time-sensitive research. We do not guarantee specific response delivery timelines.

If a poll fails to receive any responses within 30 days of activation through no fault of the Creator, please contact support to discuss options.

8. Rewards & Earnings

PollPulse offers XP, virtual currency, and real monetary rewards for completing polls and participating in the platform. All reward amounts are as described at the time of activity completion.

• Minimum withdrawal threshold is $10.00 USD.
• PollPulse reserves the right to audit accounts for fraudulent activity before processing withdrawals.
• Rewards earned through fraudulent means (bots, fake accounts, etc.) will be forfeited.
• Reward values and structures may change. Users will be notified of material changes.

9. Intellectual Property

PollPulse and its logos, brand assets, and platform software are the exclusive property of PollPulse. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

By creating polls or submitting content to PollPulse, you grant PollPulse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, analyze, and use that content to operate and improve the Service, including for aggregated research and analytics purposes.

10. Privacy

Your use of PollPulse is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PollPulse and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to PollPulse in the 90 days preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Termination

PollPulse may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any pending earnings above the withdrawal minimum may be processed upon request following standard verification, at PollPulse's discretion.

13. Changes to Terms

PollPulse reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
